Intercessory
Prayer
The primary focus of our intercessory group is to listen
to the heartbeat of the Holy Spirit and to spearhead a move of God through
prayer. As He gives us direction, whether it be for the pastor, the leadership,
a member of our congregation, our community, our nation, or our world,
we pray that His perfect will be accomplished in each situation. We want
our people and our communities to be set free from the strongholds that
hold them captive. We believe that it is prayer, mixed with the teaching
of the Word from Pastor Asa and other departmental pastors that will enable
us as a body to move forward week to week. It is a winning combination
for the edifying of the church as a whole.
“We count it a privilege and
an honor to serve under a covering with such integrity and love for the
community as well as the nations of the world.”

Featured article: Testimony of Pauline Bradley
Pauline Bradley has been a faithful, dedicated, member and fervent prayer warrior of World Harvest Church North since May, 2002. She accepted Jesus as her Savior as a child, but then later strayed from the Lord. Each time she failed, she would cry out to God and He would always lovingly forgive her. But one day, as she again cried out, He said, “I've heard your cry and I've answered you, but I will not answer you again until you surrender to your calling.” So, at age 27, at an old fashioned altar, she returned to her first love. She walked away from that altar, as she recalls, “shouting the victory and speaking with new tongues.”
Pauline served the Lord as an altar worker at her church. She later opened her home to ministry, where many elderly women were blessed by her. The Lord then directed her to expand her borders and open the door for others to attend as well. For many years, people came from all over Brevard County Florida, and were saved, healed and delivered.
In l991, Pauline's health began to deteriorate. She had an infection throughout her body. In l992, she suffered with a strangulated colon. Her doctor had to remove 18” of her colon, but she recovered well from her surgery.
In 1995, she moved to Blue Ridge,GA. where she thought she was in heaven. She had a cabin on a hill with a breathtaking view. God was good.
Again, in 2002, Pauline experienced another attack on her health. This time, it was almost a fatal one. A friend, Kathy Allen, was prompted by the Holy Spirit to go and check on Pauline. She found her almost dead. She was airlifted from Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga , TN. There they performed emergency surgery. This time, when her stomach was cut open, there was so much infection that her doctors had to remove 3 feet of her small intestine. She remained on life support. She says that she could not think, and did not know who or where she was. She said, “I couldn't even say the name of Jesus, let alone my own.” Slowly, Pauline began to recover. When she was able to think and to speak again, she says that God told her, “The battle is not yours.” She says that she remembers that while she was hospitalized, Pastor Asa, Debbie, and their three boys came faithfully and prayed with her. She especially remembers Stephen, Michael, and Benjamin patiently waiting on their parents, time after time. She feels that if it had not been for the prayers of her church family, she would have died during this difficult time. After 4 months of recovery, she was able to return home and began attending church again.
Unfortunately, in 2005, Pauline was once again airlifted to Erlanger Hospital . This time, Doctor Vallie told her that she would not be able to survive surgery. She returned home, but began to swell. Jerry Cureton, a friend, took her back to Fannin Regional Hospital in January. World Harvest North 's care pastor, Steve Jett, stayed with her for 7 hours as they waited for an ambulance that would transport her back to Erlanger. Pastor Asa was waiting in Chattanooga for her arrival. After she arrived, the hospital waited 8 days, trying to find an alternative to surgery. They could not find one. She said, ?I knew that I would die this time if God did not intervene.? Though the doctor still opposed the surgery, she was prepped for it. As she prepared for surgery, Pastor Asa, Debbie, Elder John and Carolyn Baldwin, Kathy Allen, and Evelyn Croft continued in prayer with her. She said, ?I confessed that I was dying and that I wanted to die; I was in agony from a hernia, gallbladder, and stomach that was so infected.? She told her doctor, who still opposed her surgery, ?I am in God's hands; if I live, or if I die, I am ready.? She says that she knew in the back of her mind that she would just have to make it. She had to attend her granddaughter's wedding. There was just no choice in the matter! She turned everything over to the Lord.
The extensive surgery lasted 10 hours, but Pauline made a fast recovery. Her rehab only lasted 3 weeks. Part of her rehab included a brief stay at the Blue Ridge Life Care Center . She says visitors from church came faithfully every day to encourage and to pray with her.
Pauline has made a remarkable recovery! She continues to live alone, and has regained the strength needed to drive herself to church and to do her own grocery shopping. Though she has had to make some changes, she has an eleostomy bag; she is able to maintain a normal life. She has lost the swelling… over 100 pounds!
Pauline says that the greatest thing that she has learned from all her pain is that God is always faithful to His word. She wants others to know that the devil has nothing to offer and Jesus has everything to give…FREELY.
P.S. Her granddaughter is getting married in November, and she plans to attend!
